The Resource Specialist Program at Orland High School is designed to provide each student with an individualized education program utilizing a combination of specialized instruction, and general education instruction. English, math, and study skills are classes taught by Resource Specialists and designed to meet the individual needs of eligible students.  Students served in Resource Specialist Programs also have access to classroom accommodations, described in their Individualized Educational Plan, in general education classes, if those accommodations are needed for support. Students receiving resource specialist services, like all Orland High students, are expected to satisfy all requirements necessary for graduation.

Special Day Classes are for students with more intensive educational needs, when education in regular classes with the use of supplementary aides and services cannot be achieved satisfactorily. Typically 50% or more of the student's day is spent in Special Day Classes.
